Channels and WhatsApp setup

Enable the right channels and publish a working WhatsApp share link.

What you will learn

  • Which plans unlock website vs WhatsApp channels
  • How to enable channels in Chatbot settings
  • How to generate and test the WhatsApp START link

Plan and channel access

  • Starter: website channel

  • Starter - WhatsApp: WhatsApp channel

  • Pro and Enterprise: website + WhatsApp channels

Enable channels

  1. Open Admin > Chatbot.

  2. Turn on Website widget and/or WhatsApp in the Channels section.

  3. Save your changes using the sticky save bar.

Generate WhatsApp share link

Open Admin > Settings and find the WhatsApp chatbot link section. The link pre-fills a START code tied to your business slug.

  • WhatsApp must be enabled in Chatbot settings

  • Save business details so the public slug is available

  • Open the link and send the prefilled START message to bind the conversation

If no WhatsApp link appears

If the field stays empty, confirm your deployment has NEXT_PUBLIC_WHATSAPP_SHARE_NUMBER configured and that your plan includes WhatsApp access.

Expected outcome

  • Your chatbot is reachable on the channels you enabled.
  • Customers can connect through a valid WhatsApp START link.

Common issues

  • WhatsApp is included in the plan but not enabled in Chatbot settings.
  • Sharing an old START link after the business slug changed.
